Sandra Mackechnie Joins BBC Worldwide North America as Vice President, Digital Ad Sales, Canada

Toronto, Canada – BBC Worldwide North America announced today the appointment of Sandra Mackechnie to the position of Vice President, Digital Ad Sales for, Canada. Based in Toronto, Mackechnie will be responsible for generating new business and expanding the existing business across a number of digital platforms and custom creative solution opportunities. She will manage the in-house sales team and report directly to Nick Ascheim, SVP Consumer Digital, BBC Worldwide North America.

Mackechnie joins from Postmedia Network, serving as Vice President, Digital Advertising and Strategy and Head of Digital Strategy since 2011 where she led the Corporate Digital advertising initiatives, structure and process for all web and mobile platforms.  Prior to Postmedia Network, Mackechnie was the Director of Digital Sales at Rogers Digital from November 2006 – December 2010.
