Building On A Strong Year – Promotions For The BBC’s Ad Sales Team

New York, NY – The BBC’s U.S. national ad sales business, led by Mark Gall, Senior VP, BBC AMERICA & BBC.com, has upped two of its top leadership team. Melissa Drucker and Peter Wright have been promoted to VP, National Ad Sales. Based in New York, they co-lead on BBC AMERICA. The BBC has ad sales teams in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami and Toronto.

The BBC AMERICA national TV team has continued to take ad revenue share from competitors, measuring a 39% increase vs. the previous 12 months. This year, the team is expecting to again deliver outsized revenue results.  BBC AMERICA, watched in every U.S. TV market, is in over 67 million U.S. homes. Its high-quality programming continues to earn awards – most recently,World News America earned an Emmy for Best Business News coverage.

The water cooler-type programming has attracted big national ratings – the network delivered its highest ratings ever with 1.3†million viewers watching one episode alone of sci-fi hit Doctor Who. This record viewership ranked BBC AMERICA the fifth highest cable network among A25-54 viewers among all ad-supported cable nets during the time period.
