New YorkTake a twisting journey through Blackwood, a sinister old estate plagued by mysterious occurrences and new surprises around every corner, available on DVD – Tuesday, October 13 – just in time for Halloween.

After a dramatic emotional breakdown and temporary separation from his family, college professor Ben Marshall (Ed Stoppard, The Pianist, The Musketeers) is determined to get a fresh start and make things right with his wife and son. A new house in the secluded countryside seems like the perfect place to begin. But life isn’t as idyllic as Ben had hoped as he soon finds himself tormented by eerie noises and terrifying visions, which seem to be connected to a series of haunting sketches left behind by the previous resident. Convinced that something terrible happened in the house, Ben begins a spiral into paranoia, obsessed with discovering the truth of what happened in the house in order to protect his family.

Also starring Sophia Myles (Transformers: Age of Extinction), Russell Tovey (Being Human), and Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell), and with music by Grammy Award-winner Lorne Balfe (The Dark Knight), Blackwood originally premiered at the 2013 London Film Festival.
