BBC Worldwide Brings The Great American Road Trip To NBC
Series will debut this summer on the Peacock
North Hollywood, CA – BBC Worldwide announced today the series pickup of NBC’s Great American Road Trip by NBC. The series will debut on July 1 from 8 p.m. – 9 p.m. EST, and continue for eight weeks.
Developed by the BBC Worldwide teams in Los Angeles, New York and London, the show will be produced by the company’s LA studio, BBC Worldwide Productions. The American version will be the first for the series, though versions in other territories are in discussion.
The series will follow several families as they embark on an unforgettable road trip adventure across America, while competing in a series of entertaining challenges during their 6,000-mile journey. The final family will go home with a life-changing prize.

BBC Worldwide Productions is currently in production on the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars on ABC, Real Estate Road Test and Moving Up on TLC, a pilot of Absolutely Fabulous, a scripted comedy, for Fox, a pilot of The Week the Women Went for Lifetime and additional unscripted pilots for various cable networks.
