BBC Worldwide Announces Deal with Globosat for Top Lifestyle and Drama Titles

Show line-up includes Little Paris Kitchen: Cooking with Rachel Khoo, Sinbad and Robin Hood

New York, NY – BBC Worldwide Americas, Sales and Distribution, today announced a deal with Globosat for a broad range of top titles including the lifestyle show, The Little Paris Kitchen: Cooking with Rachel Khoo and dramas, Sinbadand Robin Hood (seasons one, two and three). The shows will be seen on Globosat throughout Brazil.

Little Paris Kitchen: Cooking with Rachel Khoo-Internationally-influenced ‘culinary creative’ Rachel Khoo believes that delicious French food is no longer the preserve of fancy restaurants. This unconventional Cordon Bleu-trained cook and writer runs the smallest restaurant in Paris. In this series, Rachel invites viewers to sample her distinctive ‘Parisian Cookbook’, throwing tired clichés out and taking viewers on a beautiful and surprising edible adventure. Rachel cooks everything from simple suppers to sumptuous patisserie. The series is a Plum Pictures production for BBC.

Sinbad
Starring newcomer Elliot Knight in the title role, the 12-part series follows Sinbad’s sea-bound journey after he is forced to flee from his home town of Basra. Surviving a violent and magical storm, Sinbad embarks on an emotional journey full of adventures. Naveen Andrews (Lost) stars as Sinbad’s nemesis, Lord Akbari.  The series also features appearances by Sophie Okonedo (Hotel RwandaThe Secret Life of Bees), Timothy Spall (Harry PotterThe King’s Speech) and Dougray Scott (Hitman, Mission Impossible: II). Sinbad is an Impossible Pictures Production for British Sky Broadcasting in association with BBC Worldwide.

Robin Hood (Seasons one, two and three) – Most people like to think that when a tyrant comes along a hero will arise to oppose him and there is no character that satisfies this need like Robin Hood. In the first season, Robin of Locksley returns home from defending King and country to find a corrupt and changed Nottingham. The ruthless Sheriff of Nottingham is now in charge, crippling the poor with greedy taxes and punishing them for stealing even a loaf of bread. Robin and his sidekick Much will fight hard for the good of the hapless people. The second season sees the popular legend is back in a contemporary retelling with more adventures and incredible swordplay as Robin Hood continues the fight to right wrongs.
