BBC Worldwide and HBO Latin America Spy Deal for Music and Drama Programming

Los Angeles, CA – BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, today announced a deal with premium cabler HBO Latin America that includes the fifth season of hit BBC teen drama M.I. High. The action-packed series centers on M.I. 9’s division of highly trained teen spies, known as M.I. High, whose mission is to protect Britain from a series of threats to national security from dangerous villains.

Along with M.I. High, the deal sees HBO Latin America acquire two new seasons of popular BBC late night music series, Later with Jools Holland, andTen Minute Tales, a collection of 11 contemporary, heart-warming short films – each without dialogue – brought to life by top actors that include Bill Nighy and Mackenzie Crook. HBO Latin America also licensed the historical drama, Secret Diaries of Miss Ann Lister, which depicts the life of 19th century, upper middle class lesbian woman, Anne Lister, whose financial independence and self-taught education defied the standard perception of women in her time.
