New York, NY April 17, 2023 – Just in time for Earth Day, BBC Studios – creator, producer and distributor of unparalleled British content globally – has launched a brand-new BBC Earth free ad-supported television (FAST) channel. Available now, the BBC Earth FAST channel brings over 450 hours of the BBC Studios Natural History Unit’s world-renowned wildlife programming to Amazon Freevee and Plex.

Content Highlights:

  • Sir David Attenborough’s Wildlife Specials – Six of Sir David Attenborough’s Wildlife Specials will air, including Elephants: Spy in the Herd and Gorillas: On the Trail of King Kong, in addition to several other beloved Sir David Attenborough-presented natural history series.
  • Expedition Borneo – Running down the spine of central Borneo is a chain of steep mountains, deep gorges and high plateaus. Protected from the outside world by this impenetrable terrain, the only people who survive in this wilderness are a few remote tribes. A BBC/Discovery Channel co-production.
  • Deadly 60 – From tiger sharks to giant centipedes, funnel web spiders to the golden poison frog; Steve Backshall’s latest adventure is a race against time to find the creatures others spend a lifetime avoiding. A BBC production.
  • Galapagos – The inspiration behind Darwin’s theory of evolution, the Galapagos Islands are a living laboratory – a geological conveyor belt that has given birth to and seen the death of many species of plants and animals. A BBC/National Geographic Channel US co-production.
  • Ganges – A sumptuous series that tells the story of the most extraordinary river in the world – the Ganges. Human life and nature bustle along her riverbanks, in a kaleidoscope of color and energy. A BBC/Travel Channel co-production in association with France 3.
  • Wild Africa – Seen from space, Africa is a shattered kingdom, textured by burning sands, seas of grass and steaming forests, scarred by mountains and bejeweled with great lakes and rivers. A BBC/Discovery Channel co-production.
  • Wild Australasia – This epic series is a journey through time and space to explore Australasia’s natural wonders. It is a detective story, delving into Australasia’s hidden secrets to explain why its wildlife and wilderness are so special.  A BBC/Animal Planet/ABC Australia co-production.
