NEW YORK, NY – JUNE 25, 2024 – The BBC today announced the exciting line-up for season two of its hit unscripted interview show “Influential with Katty Kay.” Ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the BBC’s US Special Correspondent Katty Kay will sit down with legendary U.S. Olympic athletes for in-depth conversations about their lives, sports, and what it takes to succeed at the highest level. Season two begins tonight, Tuesday, June 25 at 10:30 pm ET, on the BBC News channel with a conversation with basketball legend and co-captain of the 1992 U.S. Men’s Dream Team Magic Johnson.
“In addition to talking about the Olympics, it’s important to me that these interviews tell audiences more about who these incredible athletes are as people and that our conversations focused as much on the person as they do on the sport.” says Kay.
New episodes of “Influential with Katty Kay” will air weekly on the BBC News channel as well as the recently launched BBC News FAST channel and will be made available to stream on the BBC News YouTube channel. Related stories will also be available in featured content across BBC.com. In July, audiences in North America will also find the complete season available on BBC Select.
