BBC AMERICA Scores Golden Globe Nomination For The Hour
Nominated For Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
New York, NY – BBC AMERICA’s critically acclaimed Dramaville mini-series, The Hour, received a Golden Globe® nomination in the category Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, it was announced today.

This is the second consecutive Golden Globe®nomination in the category for The Hour, created by Emmy®-nominated writer, Abi Morgan (The Iron Lady, Shame).
The Hour sequel was applauded by the press at its premiere in November. TV Guide Magazine called the mini-series “a smart, sleek and sexy drama,” Rolling Stone cheered, “BBC AMERICA’s brilliant 1950s drama The Hour, which is Mad Men level great at capturing the post World War II era,” and USA Today said it’s a “sharply performed, pleasingly intelligent British period drama.”
The Hour airs Wednesdays at 9:00pm ET as part of the Dramaville programming block on BBC AMERICA.
The sequel to The Hour, sees the return of the highly competitive, sharp-witted and passionate news trio of Freddie (Ben Whishaw, Skyfall, Cloud Atlas), Bel (Romola Garai, The Crimson Petal and the White) and Hector (Dominic West, The Wire) – still striving to broadcast stories they believe in.
