New York, NY – BBC AMERICA announced today that Melissa Drucker has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Television Sales, leading the channel’s ad sales team, with immediate effect. Based in New York, Drucker joined BBC Worldwide North America in 2007 and was a founding member of the U.S. integrated TV and digital ad sales team. Drucker will report to Ann Sarnoff, Chief Operating Officer, BBC Worldwide North America.

“Melissa played an integral role in leading the BBC AMERICA team to achieve consistent double-digit revenue growth year-on-year,” said Ann Sarnoff said. “She brings years of sales experience that will be a vital contribution to the network as we continue to grow.”

Prior to BBC Worldwide North America, Drucker worked at The Weather Channel handling both National and Direct Response ad sales.

BBC AMERICA’s highest rated series Doctor Who returns for a new season along with the launch of new original series Intruders on August 23. New seasons are on the way for acclaimed series Orphan Black, Top Gear, Broadchurch, The Musketeers, Atlantis and Ripper Street.
