As Senior Director, Content Sales and Co-Productions, Latin America and U.S. Hispanic, Paula Teruko is responsible for the distribution of BBC Studios content to linear and digital platforms in Brazil, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with key local players for acquisition and co-production, developing business strategies, and implementing licensing agreements.

Teruko is an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in communications, media planning, and sales. Prior to joining the sales team at BBC Studios in 2013, she founded Culturalle, a production fundraising company that partnered with independent producers in Brazil to raise funds for cultural projects and co-productions. She also held key positions at ESPN, TV Cultura and Folha de S.Paulo.

Teruko has a degree in Art Education.
