Jennifer Ball is an award-winning marketer with over 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry.
Responsible for elevating the BBC’s brands and content outside of the U.K., Jennifer grows the business through an audience-first marketing and media strategy. As a strategic leader skilled in building premium media brands, she oversees a portfolio of global marketing disciplines, including brand marketing, DTC marketing and research and insights.
Under her leadership, the BBC launched ‘Made to make you think,’ its first-ever global brand campaign. Reaching audiences outside of the U.K, the campaign reintroduced the brand and placed a spotlight on the BBC’s mission driven journalism.
Jennifer arrived at BBC Studios with a unique resume of success in content distribution, consumer marketing, and brand development.
As the Head of Marketing and Brand at Promax, she rebranded the organization for the first time in its 60-year history. Earlier, as the Executive Vice President, of Marketing & Content Partnerships at Univision Communications Inc., Jennifer created a full-service internal marketing agency for premier content clients establishing Univision as the largest multi-channel media company serving Hispanic America. As the executive marketing lead, she expanded Univision’s media offerings from three broadcast networks to a collection of both highly profitable linear networks and cutting-edge digital properties, building her division into the company’s second-largest revenue-generating business unit. This success at Univision promoted Jennifer from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President.
By continually launching and transforming marketing divisions, Jennifer also excelled in leadership roles at A+E Networks and Comcast.
She has received numerous marketing awards and industry accolades, including Cablefax’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable” honors for four consecutive years. She was a Multichannel News “Wonder Woman” while also leading her teams to multiple marketing, digital, creative and communications awards.
Jennifer is a fellow of the Betsy Magness Leadership Program through Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and the Center for Creative Leadership and is also a graduate in sociology and communications from Clark University.
