As Senior Vice President, Business Transformation, James Wildbore leads projects that align and expand the commercialization of global news within BBC Studios, a key pillar in the wider digital-first ambitions of BBC Studios Global Distribution division. In this role, he works alongside and supports BBC Studios’ Ad Sales and Storyworks teams and the Digital News and Streaming business to provide a premium experience for audiences, clients, partners and sponsors. 

Wildbore brings more than 15 years of experience in the international broadcast media industry to the role. Before assuming his current role, Wildbore most recently served as General Manager for BBC Studios Latin America and U.S. Hispanic, overseeing the regional teams and business operations across Miami, São Paulo, and Mexico City. He first joined the Miami team in 2016 as Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Operations, where he played a key role in refocusing the regional strategy. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Finance for BBC Worldwide Asia (now known as BBC Studios), where he oversaw finance in the region, as well as providing commercial, operational, business development, and strategic direction. 

Before joining BBC Studios, Wildbore held key positions at Disney and Universal across media and theatrical distribution in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. 

Wildbore graduated with a degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University and holds an ACA certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). 

He lives in Miami with his wife and two cats, Biscuit and Mr. Splatterpuss.
