As Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for BBC Studios’ Global Media & Streaming and Global News divisions, Helen Cooper sets the people & HR strategy across UK/EMEA, North America & Latin America, and APAC. Based out of New York, Cooper partners with the CEO of Global Media & Streaming and the BBC Studios Board to implement successful strategic people initiatives designed to deliver commercial growth. She is also responsible for a targeted commercial talent development program designed to bolster BBC Studios’ global sales capabilities. 

Cooper first joined BBC Studios in June 2011 as a Global Resourcing Manager and has since held a number of key leadership roles. She most recently served as Head of HR, BBC Studios Productions, overseeing the people strategy across seven UK TV production bases producing premium drama, comedy, factual, natural history, science, and formats. 

Before coming to BBC Studios, Cooper was a partner at Armstrong Newman International, an international executive recruitment consultancy, and a senior consultant at RK Supply Chain, supporting blue chip organizations with supply chain and procurement recruitment.
