As Executive Vice President, Scripted Programming for BBC Studios, Angie Stephenson is responsible for the creative development and production of scripted shows, focusing on both UK reformats and original programing. Stephenson currently serves as Executive Producer for BBC Studios on the break-out hit broadcast comedy Ghosts for CBS, adapted from the BBC series of the same name. She was BBC Studios Executive Producer for the docu-comedy Welcome to Flatch for FOX, directed by Paul Feig, and adapted from the BAFTA-winning BBC series This Country. She was recently BBC Studios Executive Producer for three seasons on the broadcast comedy Call Me Kat for FOX, adapted from the acclaimed, award-winning BBC series Miranda.Stephenson also served as Executive Producer for the Golden Globe® and Emmy® award-nominated limited series The Night Of for HBO. Her experience in the U.S. and UK markets has been invaluable on titles such as Getting On for HBO, the Golden Globe® and Emmy® award-nominated limited series The Night Of for HBO, Intruders for BBC AMERICA, and Da Vinci’s Demons for Starz, in addition to a slate of titles currently in development with streaming, broadcast, and premium channels. 

Stephenson joined BBC Studios as Vice President, Programming, Co-Production and Acquisition. In that role, she was responsible for developing international co-productions, sourcing formats, and program acquisition. Previously, she oversaw the BBC Talent division in the UK, where she directed initiatives to nurture new writers and performers. 

Stephenson holds a BA Hons degree in English and Drama from the University of London and an MBA with Distinction, Broadcasting Concentration, from the University of Bradford.
