We are a one-stop shop for our local clients – able to touch every aspect of the value chain. Our production arm develops and produces originals and much-loved British formats, while our distribution business focuses on strategic partnerships, content sales, co-productions, home entertainment, consumer products, and education. Our principal mission is to bring audiences in the U.S., Latin America, and Canada the distinctly British and fresh, new voices they crave. We recently launched BBC SELECT in the U.S. and Canada, an ad-free, digital streaming channel offering all-new documentaries on culture, politics, and ideas, on Amazon Prime Video Channels and the Apple TV app.
We have team members spanning North and South America in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Miami, and São Paulo – with a key production base in Los Angeles, which is responsible for long-running and Emmy® award-winning series Dancing with the Stars and the Life Below Zero trio of franchise shows, along with Weakest Link, hosted by Jane Lynch; Call Me Kat, starring Mayim Bialik; Breaking Bobby Bones; and the all-new Top Gear America, featuring Dax Shepard, Rob Corddry, and Jethro Bovingdon.

BBC Studios maintains long-standing, key relationships across the region. These include a joint venture with AMC Networks for flagship channel BBC AMERICA – home of the award-winning original series Killing Eve and global brands Doctor Who and Top Gear, as well as landmark Natural History Unit programs Blue Planet II, Planet Earth II, and Seven Worlds, One Planet. We also have a joint venture with ITV, the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster, for SVoD service BritBox in the U.S. and Canada. Other key strategic partnerships include Blue Ant Media for BBC Earth Channel and BBC First, as well as a production partnership with Endemol Shine in Brazil, responsible for Dancing Brasil.
